Drum line is a kind of mechanical equipment used for material conveying and handling, usually used in industrial production lines, logistics storage systems and airports and other places. The drum line consists of a plurality of drums, through the movement of drums to transport material from one position to another. Its working principle is to use the rotating movement of the drum to place the material on the drum, and the movement of the drum drives the material to move along the direction of the conveying line, so as to achieve the conveying and handling of the material.
The basic composition of drum line includes drum, conveyor belt, driving device and supporting structure. Among them, the drum is the core component of the drum line, which plays the role of carrying and guiding materials. The roller is usually made of metal materials, and the surface is covered with wear-resistant materials such as coating or rubber to increase the friction of the roller and the adhesion of the material, ensuring that the material will not slip or fall during transportation.
The working principle of the drum line can be divided into the following steps:
1. Material loading: Materials are loaded onto the drum line from the starting position. This can be done by manually placing the material on the drum, or by using other equipment (such as loaders, conveyor belts, etc.) to feed the material into the starting position of the drum line.
2. Drum movement: The drive device converts electrical energy into mechanical movement, and makes the drum rotate by passing it to the drum. The rotation of the drum can be achieved by means of a belt, chain or direct connection to the motor. The speed and direction of the roller are adjusted and changed by the control of the driving device.
3. Material conveying: The movement of the drum places the material on the drum, and the material moves along the direction of the conveying line due to the friction with the surface of the drum and the push of the drum movement. There are usually multiple rollers on the drum line, and the material is passed and transferred between the rollers until it reaches its destination.
4. Material unloading: After the material arrives at the destination, it can be further processed by manual or other equipment or transferred to the next work link. At the end of the drum line, a discharge device can be arranged to help the material leave the drum line smoothly.
